A bookstore tucked between the shops. A fellow Filipina in the next one over. My book traveling through Prague in the hands of strangers.
I'm walking through Old Town Prague. Looking into shop windows. Wandering through a little mall tucked into the historic streets. And then I see it.
A small bookstore tucked between the shops.
Something tells me to reach into my bag.
I walk in and introduce Hello Flutters to the woman at the counter. She holds it. Studies it. Looks up at me with a smile.
We need more books like this. It belongs here.

I keep walking.
The next shop over I meet a fellow Filipina. We fall into conversation the way Filipinas do anywhere in the world — immediately, warmly, like we already know each other.
I tell her about Hello Flutters. She lights up. She tells me she has teacher friends as roommates and she wants to share it with them.
I happily give her a copy.
She tells me she loves it before I even leave the shop.
