The Run
The
Run
The streets are completely empty. It is my last morning in Prague before I take the 4 hour train to Vienna.
The streets are completely empty. Everything that had been crowded and loud the afternoon before, every bridge, every lane, every tourist thick corner of Prague, is bare.
I love the early mornings of new places. I see everything so clearly.
Just me and the cobblestones and the early morning light.
I ran 4 miles to the castle and back. No one near it. The view was mine.
This is why I keep my running streak even while I'm traveling. It gives me that one on one time with a city I am still getting to know.
For an introvert, this is how I connect. How I understand a place at its core. How I let a new city become familiar before I have to share it with everyone else.
I'm a one on one kind of girl.
Big crowds overwhelm me. Small talk exhausts me. Talk to me about your passion or your life journey and you have my full attention.
This is me.
The early morning run is not wasted time before the day begins.
It is the best part of the day.
The castle. The bridge. The empty lanes of Old Town.
All mine. Just for an hour.
Then I shower, pack my bags, and take the train to Vienna.
But I carry Prague with me.
Some cities you visit. Some cities visit you.
Prague was the second kind.
A children's book about fear, courage, and the wisdom of the body. Written for children. Needed by all of us.
Get Hello FluttersBefriending your fear is where healing begins.
These stories are proof of that. Not theory. Not framework. Just the road, and what it asked of me.
